“The wait is over! Nothing has officially begun the global rollout of Nothing OS 4.0 (branded as ‘Flow’), built on the foundation of Android 16.
The update started hitting devices yesterday (Nov 21). This is Nothing’s biggest software release of the year, bringing a huge focus on AI, multitasking, and a completely redesigned Extra Dark Mode.”
Nothing OS 4.0: Top 5 New Features
Live Updates via Glyph: The lights on the back (Glyph Interface) now show real-time progress for your Uber/Ola ride or Swiggy/Zomato delivery without turning on the screen.
Extra Dark Mode: A deeper black level that reduces eye strain and improves battery life (especially for OLED screens).
Pop-Up View: Multitasking is easier. You can now run two floating apps simultaneously and switch between them with simple gestures.
Essential Apps (AI Widgets): Users can now create their own custom widgets using AI (like a widget that summarizes meeting notes).
Smoother Animations: App opening/closing feels faster and more fluid (a subtle change, but noticeable).
